Monday Morning Goodbyes

Mazama Country Inn is a nice place to have a good ole sit-down breakfast (plus they have a deck). The ladies here are really nice and the food is pretty darn tasty to boot. This will be rather informal. We just promise to be there around 9:30 a.m. For the sake of keeping the ladies at the MCI happy, we'll try to get a head count so they know who all to expect.

Among the trees we will be.

This is an easy walk over grass, pine needles and potentially plain old dirt.

Which brings us to dress code: This is your excuse to dress up, woodland style.  You'll be cocktailing, celebrating, eating, dancing, and who knows what! Just don't forget your sweater, it might get a little chilly when the sun goes behind the mountains.

Family and Friends Get Together

Family and Friends Get Together

Okay, first off the picnic starts at 5:30 and goes to at least 8:30 p.m.

Secondly, parking is at a premium. Please please please carpool. I'll be honest - parking is going to be a bit of a production. The number one concern is not placing your muffler in the grass where it can catch fire. I would not have thought about this but once you're in fire country you become acutely aware of the smallest oversights. I am also going to ask you to leave your keys in your car. There will be some places where cars will be on top of one another and someone might need to move yours to get out. Also, if I get bored, it will give me a chance to rifle through your car.

Thirdly - There will be food available - chicken (beans for veggie's) and rice bowls - but if you feel like bringing something else, then you should do so. This picnic is also BYOB. We will have ice and buckets available for your stash.

Bring chairs and blankets if it's convenient.

Location: 26 Fawn Meadow Lane. The address is in Winthrop but it's actually only a few miles from the Mazama Store. You head east on Highway 20. Pass mile marker 183; immediately after mm 183, there will be an aspen (tree) stand to the right; you will see a field right after; and then a small blue street sign off to the left that says "Fawn Meadow Ln" - take a right. Once you take a right you will see a private road sign. You are on the correct road. Keep going until you see the orange flags into the driveway (You will be able to see the house off on the right before you see the driveway). You've made it! Pull on up and we'll help you get situated and parked.

This should be fun! We're excited to see you all!
