Where to rest your head

We have had great success renting cabins and vacation homes through Central Reservations and/or Mazama Country Inn (they also have basic rooms at their lodge).  Both sites are easy to use and have a ton of listings to comb through. You'll also find cabins, homes, condos and a list of inns on the Central Reservations site. There are also a handful of rooms available at Mazama Ranch House - the location of the wedding. The Mazama area should have enough options to house all of our guests. It is Labor Day weekend though so you may find something you like in Winthrop or even in Twisp. Don't worry - you won't be but 15 minutes away (Winthrop) and maybe 30 minutes away if you stay in the Twisp area.

Freestone Inn

Rooms in the lodge. Larger cabins (that sleep 6-10) around the lake. And pet friendly cabins (studio, 1br, and 2br options).

Timberline Meadows

9 luxury cabins to choose from.  No dogs allowed here, but it is nestled within the trees.

Sun Mountain Lodge

Sun Mountain Lodge is a resort with a lodge, and cabins. It's a little ways away from Mazama - not too far though - maybe 25 minutes. There are a ton of trails around the lodge. This is a real-live resort with all the fixins.

Rolling Huts

Modern alternative to camping.  Make sure you double-check the amenities before you leave home. You'll probably need to bring your sleeping bag.

Rendezvous Huts

Carter's all time favorite place to stay. You will need to prepare a bit more for this experience. For instance, there's no refrigeration, no running water, and you must bring your bedding. Because you will need to travel gravel and dirt Forest Service Roads - you will not be traveling over 30 mph. So - obviously you feel a bit further out. During our weekend there we came off Rendezvous Mountain once a day and it didn't feel like it was a chore. Feel free to ask Carter about the experience.
